Longcroft School and Sixth Form College is pleased to announce that we are introducing a new way to communicate and share information with our parent community. This will replace SIMS Learning Gateway on Monday 30th October 2017 (until then, to log into SIMS parents click here and staff click here).
We want parents and carers to feel as much a part of Longcroft as possible and we want to make the best use of the increase in smart phone technology.
MyEd is a free parent app that gives you a multitude of communication and information features to stay in touch with what is going on at school. The app will give you direct access to your child's attendance, timetable, absence records, achievements, behaviour and more.
The MyEd app is available now for both Apple iOS and Android devices. If you do not have either of these systems and so cannot download the app, you will still receive text messages and emails, meaning you won’t miss out. The advantage of the app is that it pulls all the information we send you into one place.
You can download the app from either the Apple App Store or Google Play by searching for MyEd, or scan the QR code below to access the download page.
Once you’ve downloaded the app, carry out the following instructions:
1) When prompted, type Longcroft School and Sixth Form College in the search box.
2) Register your details. You will be asked for your name, mobile telephone number and email address.
3) An activation code will be sent free of charge to your mobile phone. Once received, please type this code in to the box on screen.
4) Remember to click 'Allow' when asked about notifications. This will enable the sending and receiving of FREE messages between you and the school.
If you have any problems please email email@example.com.
We hope you enjoy using the app and find it a useful source of information.
