Be Bright - Be Seen

29th November 2018

Over recent months, Mrs Hirons and her form have been working closely with East Riding of Yorkshire Council Road Safety Office David Butt. They have been spreading the message of bike safety throughout the school. This has included highlighting the benefits of sustainable transport for teachers and students alike, with the aim of reducing the number of cars and increasing cycling and walking to and from school.

On Friday 23rd November, Mrs Hirons, David and other ERYC officers promoted the Be Bright Be Seen campaign, which encourages cyclists to improve their visibility to other road users.

On this particular morning, free bike lights were given to the first 100 cyclists arriving at school.
